After graduating from college, Emma returned to her hometown to help care for her grandmother while figuring out what she wanted her next chapter to look like. Although she had always dreamed of living in the mountains, she never imagined just how much one bold decision would change her life. When a job opportunity in Durango came along, she jumped at the chance! Today, she feels incredibly grateful to call Durango home. Surrounded by amazing friends, family, and a community she loves, she’s built a life that feels both adventurous and deeply meaningful.
As a Licensed Real Estate Assistant at Durango Land and Homes, her days are filled with showings, errands, logistics, and deadlines. She thrives in the fast-paced nature of her work, but outside of the office, she loves slowing down and unplugging. Whether she’s painting, skiing, hiking, or car camping, she’s always finding ways to embrace the outdoors and creativity. One of her favorite traditions is bringing watercolor postcards along on hikes and trips so she can paint a small scene and mail it to a friend. A thoughtful ritual that perfectly reflects her love for connection and adventure. She also loves taking her Subaru on road trips throughout Colorado and beyond, even building a sleeping platform in the back so any weekend can turn into a camping getaway.
Recently, she welcomed a new kitten into her life after saying goodbye to her beloved cat of 17 years, S’mores, who will always hold a special place in her heart.
