Introducing the December Lively Lady: Kim Solecki!
Meet Kim!
Kim and her family has lived in Durango since the early 1990’s and Kim graduated college from Fort Lewis! Kim left for the big city after school, but her and her husband moved back to Durango to be with family about 5 years ago - and she’s so happy they did! Kim and her husband, Jason, love all of the fun and scenic outdoor activities that Durango has to offer, as well as the small town feel. Kim and Jason have 2 yellow lab dog-daughters, Penny and Molly, who are 10 years old.
Kim owns and operates local Durango business, Mountain Dough Baking Company, and is one of the bakers as well. The bakery specializes in fun and delicious pastries, cookies, cakes, and cupcakes. They offer cookie and cake decorating classes as well as birthday parties! Kim’s passion has been baking for years and years. She took a break in 2023 from her 20 year technology sales career to pivot and open Mountain Dough instead. It has been a labor of love so far for sure! Kim of course loves baking and cooking in her free time. She also enjoys anything garden related. During the summer, you can find Kim in her yard or on her patio focusing on her green thumb in her spare time.
Kim’s favorite lively brands include Dear John jeans, Pink Martini, and Steve Madden shoes. Kim likes shopping at lively because, “Everything is so unique and high quality. The staff is wonderful and helpful. Each piece is a great addition to my wardrobe”.
